Robotic Milling

We explored the potential of robotic milling to build a wooden column. Working with recycled logs we fabricated their own columns in three weeks. The columns would then be packed and shipped to Feng Chia University to form part of a new gateway pavilion.

The Floating Column

Lightness and Delusion The diamond profiles and grooves creates a delusional experience of the shape when reading the column in different angles. While the spherical concrete base joint forms the sense of instability and lightness of the column.
