A services building design near the sea in Lei Yue Mun.
"
The progression of space existing in the Lei Yue Mun site allows people to experience differently when walking towards the end. It inspired me to establish a similar mechanism in the MSB. Throughout the project, the main goal is to create this kind of progression of space with stairs and ramps, which become a kind of continuance of the village.

Bringing people to start their experience from the back of the MSB, where they will experience the change in light conditions and the scenery of the sea they can capture when they move along the staircase—surrounded by the urban and rural communities in two directions. The routes of the people from the two sides exist differently. The ground floor plan is opened up as a diagonal to gather urban people and direct them to the back. A large ramp is placed at the side of the MSB to direct village people to walk to the entry. This creates a convergence for people to start their journey together in the MSB.
